This Privacy Policy explains what information Gloap (“we”, “us”, “the app”) collects when you use our iOS app, how we use it, who we share it with, and the choices you have. We’ve tried to keep it short and plain. If anything is unclear, email us at support@unplannedambition.com.
01
Who we are
Gloap is an iOS trip planner. You tell it where you want to go, and it generates a personalized itinerary. The app is published by the developer of Gloap (contact: support@unplannedambition.com).
02
Information we collect
2.1 Information you provide
When you create an account or use Gloap, we collect:
- Account info — your email address and display name, provided by Sign in with Apple or Google Sign-In.
- Trip details — the destinations, dates, travelers, preferences, and notes you enter when planning a trip.
- Generated itineraries — the activity, accommodation, and dining suggestions produced for your trips, plus any edits you make.
- Chat messages — messages you send to refine your itinerary inside the app.
2.2 Information we generate automatically
- Account identifier — a unique anonymous ID assigned by Firebase Authentication so we can associate your trips with your account.
- Crash diagnostics — when the app crashes or hits a recoverable error, we send technical details (device model, iOS version, the line of code that failed) to Firebase Crashlytics so we can fix bugs. These reports do not contain your trip content.
- Local cache— itineraries and images are cached on your device using SwiftData and the app’s image cache so the app is fast and works offline.
2.3 Information we do not collect
- We do not collect or use your precise location.
- We do not access your photos, camera, microphone, contacts, or health data.
- We do not use third-party advertising, ad SDKs, or tracking pixels.
- We do not sell your data, ever.
03
How we use your information
We use the data we collect only to:
- 01Operate the app — sign you in, generate itineraries, save your trips.
- 02Sync your trips across your devices when you sign in.
- 03Add itinerary events to your calendar, only if you grant calendar permission.
- 04Diagnose crashes and errors so we can ship fixes.
- 05Communicate with you about important changes (rare; transactional only).
We do not use your data for advertising, profiling, or model training.
04
Third parties we share data with
Gloap uses the following service providers. Each one only receives the data needed to do its job.
- Firebase Authentication (Google)Your email, name, and Apple/Google IDTo sign you in and identify your account
- Cloud Firestore (Google)Your trips, itineraries, and chat messagesTo sync your data across devices
- Firebase Cloud Functions (Google)Image search queries (e.g. “Tokyo skyline”)To fetch destination photos via our proxied Unsplash / Pexels APIs
- Firebase Crashlytics (Google)Crash logs with device model, iOS version, and your account IDTo diagnose and fix bugs
- AnthropicYour trip parameters and chat messages (no email or name)To generate itineraries using Claude
- Unsplash and Pexels (via our proxy)Image search keywords only — no personal infoTo return destination photos
- Apple and GoogleSign-in flow only (their terms apply)To authenticate you
We do not share your data with any other third parties.
05
Where your data is stored
- On your device — itineraries, trips, and image caches.
- Google Cloud servers in the United States — your synced trips, account record, and crash reports.
- Anthropic servers in the United States — your itinerary prompts, transiently, while Claude generates a response. Anthropic does not retain inputs for training when accessed via the API.
If you are located outside the United States, your data will be transferred there.
06
How long we keep your data
- Account and trips — kept until you delete them or close your account.
- Crash reports — automatically deleted by Firebase Crashlytics after 90 days.
- Anthropic API requests — Anthropic retains API logs for up to 30 days for safety review, then deletes them.
07
Your rights and choices
You can:
- View all your trips inside the app at any time.
- Edit or delete any trip from the app.
- Revoke calendar permission anytime in iOS Settings → Gloap → Calendars.
- Sign out anytime; your synced trips remain in your account until you delete them.
- Delete your account and all data — see Section 08.
- Request a copy of your data by emailing support@unplannedambition.com. We will respond within 30 days.
If you are in the EU, UK, or California, you have additional rights under GDPR / UK GDPR / CCPA, including the rights to access, correct, port, and delete your data, and to object to or restrict processing. Email support@unplannedambition.com to exercise any of these rights.
08
How to delete your account
You can delete your account and all associated data at any time:
- 01Open Gloap → Profile / Settings → Delete Account, or
- 02Email support@unplannedambition.com from the address tied to your account and ask to delete.
When you delete your account we permanently remove your trips, itineraries, chat messages, and account record from our database within 30 days. Crash reports anonymized to your account ID are deleted on Firebase’s automatic 90-day cycle.
09
Children
Gloap is not directed to children under 13 (or under 16 in the EU). We do not knowingly collect data from children. If you believe a child has used Gloap, please email support@unplannedambition.com and we will delete the account.
10
Security
We use HTTPS for every network request, Firebase’s standard encryption at rest, and OAuth-based sign-in (Apple, Google). API keys for our model and image services live on our backend, not inside the app, so they cannot be extracted from the app binary.
No system is perfectly secure. If you suspect a security issue, email support@unplannedambition.com.
11
Changes to this policy
If we change this policy materially, we will update the “Last updated” date and, where appropriate, notify you in-app or by email. Continued use of Gloap after the changes means you accept the new policy.
